NEA study on young adults and participation - is it relevent in Denver?

In 2002, the National Endowment for the Arts completed a Survey of Public Participation in the Arts (survey analysis released in 2007).  While causal relationships weren't explored, it is clear that arts participation by young adults (specifically in the Performing Arts) is waning.  The study may be viewed at www.nea.gov/pub/CivicEngagement.pdf.
Here are my questions:  have you noticed a decline in attendance by young adults?  If so, is your organization addressing this through targeted efforts to increase participation among this demographic?  Further, how can we as a community engage this demographic in the rich performing arts culture of Denver?  I offer no concrete suggestions, suffice to ask how we offer experiences that rival those of digital entertainment (movies, Internet, PlayStation III).
