An Introduction

An Introduction to Dear Lisa,
Thursday,  March 6, 2008

An introduction to myself would be the most appropriate way to approach the first blog on this site.  I’ve been stirring for weeks on what that would look like, read like and sound like.  I had to ask how one introduces themselves to a hopefully vast yet unseen audience. The best answer, considering you are here and reading, is that you and I have something in common.  We call it home, we call it Denver, and if I am lucky enough, you are also here to read, learn, support, and take part in this city.

I am here to write stories, news, moments, reviews, needs, humor, gossip, ideas and hope for the current state and future of our community.  My love is for the arts, music and culture in this town.  I am one side of the story, but hope to remind you that while in your car, on the train, riding the bus, on your bike, or on toe, you pass culture everyday.  This town more than ever, has positioned itself for you and I to reach out and grab it.  It’s time to take part in what is behind those doors, in those rooms, hanging on the walls, out in the gardens, making all that noise, written on the pages, effecting our friends, fighting out rights, believing our hopes, changing our scenery, and continuously growing and bringing us together.

This is an open forum.  Take or leave what you want, comment if you like, and inform me as well as I can inform you about any topics.  We are in this together, and these will be my letters to you about where we live from where I stand.

Thank you for being here.
