BUILDING CREATIVE BUSINESSES EXPO
Denver, Saturday, March 8th

Coming this Saturday, March 8th, the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs is
presenting their 3rd annual Building Creative Businesses Expo. This
program is built to be a “one-stop” place to bring together people from all walks
of our community including artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers, dancers, as
well as non-profit and for-profit resources, to support their businesses and
goals. Numerous workshops are set up with key speakers from all walks of
these medium created to help grow creative businesses. It is all held at the
Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, 201 W. Colfax Avenue, from
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and the building will be open at 9:00 a.m.

In response to the growing demand for this event, participants may now register
online at www.regonline.com/BCBE. You may choose to attend up to
three workshops out of the 40 or so that are offered. The registration fee is $5
and can also be obtained at the actual day of Expo in the building. There will be live
music, key speakers and exhibitors located in the main atrium of the Webb
Building and you will not have to register to take part in them.

There are plenty of new features this year to note that include
portfolio consultations, local fashion show from Fashion Denver, speed
networking sessions and more.

There will also be live music sponsored by the non-profit group DenverKickstand.com.
The stage will be located in the atrium and include the following bands and speaker:
10:20am-11:05 Tim Pourbaix
11:15am-12:00 The Hollyfelds
12:15pm - 12:45 Director of Economic Development Speech
1pm - 1:35 Bela Karoli
1:45pm-2:15 Laura Goldhamer
2:25pm-3:00 The Wheel
3:10pm-3:45 Hello Kavita

Workshop concepts would include trademarks/copyrights, art in corporate
settings, independent music promotion, financing your business and more.

*Be sure to join fellow Expo attendees, presenters and exhibitors at the TAXI building
for an after-party from 4:30-7pm. Appetizers and beverages will be provided by
Fuel Cafe and Flying Dog Brewery. The TAXI building is located at 3455 Ringsby Court.
Note: You must have a pass from the Expo to attend the event.
