Monday April 14th

*Fleet Foxes- 7pm @ Hi Dive, Denver, CO
“If they ever found the lost tapes of The Bands The Last Waltz and slipped in the Fleet Foxes, I don’t think anyone would blink an eye. The sweet harmonious lullaby poem-core would put any babe at ease. It seems like their music came from small hidden town deep with in the woods of Washington, but are yet another Seattle based band to be proud of.”

Presumably founded on the third Thursday of May of 2002, The Emerging Filmmakers Project offers subsidized workshops and a monthly Screening Night featuring films and talkback by regional filmmakers.

*'Dinner with Friends' - 7:30pm @ Vintage Theatre, Denver
An apparently simple story of one couple’s breakup and its effect on their closest friends, it evolves into an examination of the nature of friendship itself.

Friday April 18th

Presented by DesignscapesColorado in recognition of Earth Day (April 22nd).

*'The Last Five Years' - 7:30pm @ The Garner Galleria Theatre, Denver
The five-year relationship between two New Yorkers from their first meeting to their last goodbye. Days and times vary for evening and matinee peformances.

*An Evening With Crispin Glover- $20
The Denver Film Society proudly welcomes cult actor/filmmaker/artist Crispin Glover to the Starz Film Center for April 18, 19 at 8:00pm and April 20 at 7:00pm. Tickets include admission to the "Big Slide Show" presentation, the film What Is It?, the Q&A and book signing.

The photography of Sally Mann, Slater Bradley, and Nigel Poor. Throughout the history of photography the issue of mortality has been a very present spectre in both photographic theories and practices. Early daguerreotypes of American soldiers about to leave for the Civil War were witness to their impending death.

Saturday April 19th

Written by comedian Rob Becker, Defending the Caveman is a hilariously funny play about the ways men and women relate. Includes wonderful insights on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zone. Longest running solo play in Broadway's history.

*'Strange Cages - The Human Zoo'- 8pm @ The Mercury Cafe, Denver, CO
Vox Feminista presents its new spring show that says it "busts us out of the cages of technology, gender, prison, war, revolution, silence and the spectacle surrounding our lives." The play is presented on various dates and times in three different locations, always at 8 p.m.

*Bad Weather California- 8pm @ The Larimer Lounge, Denver
At this moment Bad Weather California are probably one of the best bands playing in Denver, and worth seeing any chance you get." –Westword

*Fried Nothing TV Comedy Night- 9pm/$7 @ Benders Tavern, Denver, CO
